America of Cali started off with the right foot Women’s Copa Libertadoreswith a 1-0 victory against Santiago Morningthis Friday.
During the first minutes of the initial stage, there was not much movement in the areas, and both teams tried to gain control of the game, especially with more intensity from the Americans, but without creating danger.
The first occasion with real danger, was generated at minute 22 with a free kick Catalina Usmewho shot quite far from the arc and Katherine Tapia controlled in two stages.
Five minutes later, Mariana Zamorano received a pass between the lines from Catalina, made the individual, finished off and stopped the Colombian again at the service of the Chilean team.
