AMD will launch next-generation AM5 motherboards for Ryzen 9000 “Zen 5” desktop CPUs under the 800 series branding – now numbering on par with Intel.
As Computex 2024 approaches, the wait for the new AMD Ryzen 9000 processors based on the “Zen 5” architecture grows more and more. And at the same time, rumors about the new generation of CPUs are also increasing. According to the latest provided by BenchlifeAMD will introduce Ryzen 9 alongside the 800 series motherboardsthus skipping the 700 series and aligning its nomenclature with that of Intel.
Precisely during Computex 2024, which will open on June 3 with the speech of AMD CEO Lisa Su, various motherboard manufacturers will exhibit models with AMD and Intel 800 series chipsets. Among the manufacturers who are working on these new cards we find GIGABYTE, which in the meantime has presented the motherboard B650E AORUS PRO.
B650E AORUS PRO X USB4: a vision of the future
One of the most interesting new features of GIGABYTE’s B650E AORUS PRO X USB4 is the inclusion of the USB4 platform. This is a feature that makes it one of the first AMD motherboards to support this standard. According to Benchlife, this motherboard is also compatible with the specifications of the expected AMD 800 series motherboards, and is therefore technically ready for “Granite Ridge”.
