Following the announcement at CES 2022, AMD today unveiled new details on the series processors Ryzen PRO 6000based on architecture Zen 3+ 6 nanometer and with improved graphics AMD RDNA 2 designed for a business audience.
The new Ryzen Pro 6000 series features six different H and HS series processors, ranging from the six-core / 12-thread Ryzen 6 Pro 6650H and 6650HS up to the Ryzen 9 Pro 6950H and 6950HS. There are two U series processors with the Ryzen 5 Pro 6650U and the Ryzen 7 Pro 6850U.
The Ryzen PRO 6000 series features 8 high-performance Zen 3+ cores, which deliver up to 17% faster performance than the competition when using MS Office productivity apps, such as PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook, while taking place simultaneously conferences with Microsoft Teams.
Laptops equipped with the new AMD processors have experienced up to 45% longer battery life for Microsoft Team conferences than the competition. AMD’s commitment to improving the efficiency of its CPUs also continues, with power reductions of up to 50% since 2018 and with desktop processors using 67% fewer watts per core.
The next generation Lenovo ThinkPad and HP EliteBook will be powered by Ryzen PRO 6000 series processors, and will benefit from the enhanced security, wireless management and system stability features offered by AMD PRO technologies. Added to these are the new laptops from Acer, Asus and Alienware which should arrive during the second quarter of 2022.
