Although many do not yet know it, Lucid Motors already has numerous locations for the sale of its electric cars in Europe. Specifically, the North American brand is present in countries such as Germany (four dealers), Swiss (two locations), Norway (one point) and Netherlands (one point). With all this, although its sales figures are still far from what the company aspires to achieve one day, the truth is that its numbers have grown significantly during the past month of October.
According to data extracted from various data agencies, as well as those published by the German Federal Motor Transport Authority (KBA), Lucid has multiplied its number of registrations by three last October, compared to September numbers.
Lucid continues to advance in Europe
Specifically, these numbers translate into 129 registrations in October on German territory. As a reference, although it may not seem like much, in the month of September the brand achieved 41 new sales. This represents more than three times the difference between deliveries. Continuing with the comparisons, so far this year, Lucid has sold 256 electric cars in Germanywhich more than 50% corresponds only to what was obtained in October.
This growth draws even more attention when we look at the total sales of electric cars in Germany during the month of October. In total terms, registrations of these ‘zero emissions’ models fell by 5% to 35,491 units. For Lucid, on the contrary, it was a successful month.
Just a few weeks ago, Lucid opened the doors of the first center in Hamburg, just a month after doing the same with one in Frankfurt. With this, the brand makes it clear that its success in Germany is being resounding and it is something that they intend to emulate with “expansion in the rest of Europe”, as they claim.
Although the brand is already planning its expansion into new territories, such as Belgium, Luxembourg, France, Austria, Italy, Spain, the United Kingdom, Sweden, Denmark, Poland and the Czech Republic, for now only its service network is operational in these locations. mobiles. Later (without an explicit date) they will carry out this commercial deployment.
Currently the company only markets the Lucid Air in Europe, a luxury sedan that has a real autonomy of up to 840 kilometersjust as he could check a youtuber just a few weeks ago. This model starts in Germany for 85,000 euros, not including any available aid or discounts. It also offers other more capable alternatives such as the so-called Touring or Grand Touring, which start from 99,000 and 129,000 euros, respectively.
As a novelty, Lucid has just presented officially Gravitywhich will be its second electric model. This one has an SUV body and a really luxurious interior. For now, this one will not arrive in Europe until the middle of next year 2025. However, it is available for sale in the United States, where it has a starting price of $79,990.
