According to what was announced by the municipal president of Nogales, Juan Gim, of the 123 positive cases of the coronavirus that were registered in the past tuesday february 8 in the state governed by Alfonso Durazo, only one of these corresponded to Nogales.

Meanwhile, the Director of Municipal Health, Dora Alicia Ruelas Armenta, referred that the positive context that Nogales is going through in relation to the Covid-19 pandemic is derived from the work that has been implemented in the municipality that for two years had not managed to lower their figures so drastically.
“All the efforts have been worth it, with this indicator in the next few days Nogales could be at a green traffic light, but without lowering our guard in prevention actions, the demands of the health protocols must continue as if we were at an orange traffic light” , remarked Ruelas Armenta.
For its part, the Mexican Social Security Institute (IMSS) announced that, at present, the health unit registers a 25% of hospital occupancy in the Covid-19 area, with 12 hospitalized patients, of which only 4 are in critical condition.
Despite this, the members of the local Health Committee called on citizens not to relax the measures against the contagion and spread of SARS-CoV-2 in public spaces such as schools, transport, commerce, in order to achieve that Nogales is in the green in the coming weeks.
