Almost half of the 218 deaths that occurred on October 29 due to DANA that devastated the Huerta Sur of Valencia occurred in closed spaces such as houses or garages. This is one of the conclusions of the report released this Sunday by the Superior Court of Justice of the Valencian Community (TSJCV).
The data reflects that inside homes they were found 65 bodies and in garages, 32. These are figures recorded by the Data Integration Center (CID).
To those 97 bodies found in houses and garages We must add others found in closed spaces, such as the ten deceased in residences, six in cars, another two under vehicles and one in a van.
Four bodies were also found in basements (one of them in a supermarket), two in elevatorstwo on terraces of homes, two bodies in supermarket parking lots, another in the parking lot of a store, one in an underground parking lot and another in a parking lot next to a residence, among others.
In open spaces
In open spacesmost of the bodies were recovered in fields (24) and streets (21), although bodies were also taken from ravines (3), trees (3), irrigation ditches (2) or L’Albufera (2).
The TSJCV statistics also show that fatalities were located in a rice field (1), an industrial estate (1), a plot of an industrial estate (1), a commercial basement (1), a garden (1), a church (1)some train tracks (1), near train tracks (1), a rural property near train tracks (1), a landing (1), a boulevard (1), a telephone pole (1) and a sports center (1), among other places.
Furthermore, it must be taken into account that four of the dead lost their lives while admitted to hospitals, while others three were recovered on the beaches of El Saler, Pinedo and Sueca.
According to the latest update this Saturday, the ante-mortem offices enabled by the National Police and the Civil Guard in collaboration with the forensic doctors account for 13 active files for disappearance reports.
