The Pesaro prosecutor's office has delegated the search and seizure activities of 10 individuals and 3 companies to the Nas carabinieri command of Ancona and to the Icorf central investigative unit, in order to block a complex phenomenon of adulteration in the dairy sector .
The search and seizure activities were carried out in the province of Pesaro and in other locations in the Marche region, as well as in other targets across the national territory, and involved over 60 judicial police officers including Carabinieri from the Nas and inspectors from the Fraud Suppression Inspectorate . During the activity, the delegated judicial police found and seized approximately 90 tons of milk and approximately 110 tons of dairy products, as well as approximately 2.5 tons of adulterated substances with a total value of just under 800 thousand euros.
The investigations directed by the prosecutor's office aim to ascertain the use of adulterating and adulterating substances in the production circuit of large-scale retail dairy products.
