To the CES 2022 currently in progress, Alienware presented his Nyx concept, that is a device dedicated to the multiple streaming of PC games on several screens, at the moment still in the prototype state and whose final release is not yet sure.
During the electronics fair, the manufacturer specialized in PC gaming presented this tool which is based on Nyx software, allowing you to stream wireless on various other devices starting from a sort of central home server.
For the occasion, Alienware has recovered its prototype of Concept UFO, or that sort of Nintendo Switch in the PC version, to demonstrate how this new device works.
Several streaming channels are sent from a central block to low latency, allowing in this way to keep several games running simultaneously on different screens, or even on a single shared screen, allowing different players to use them on different titles.
We don’t know exactly how useful this solution can be, but perhaps in places where multiple users are together interested in playing different games it can make sense. It must be said that, compared to Google Stadia and Amazon Luna, Concept Nyx seems set to access one library of PC games that you own already, or with a solution similar to that seen for Nvidia GeForce Now. There is still no certainty about the actual distribution of this system on the market, for the moment it is only a concept.
