He Spanish Jove, the Crevillente and the Ibense Raythree of the Alicante ensembles of Third Federation, have informed through a statement of the withdrawal of economic support for the amateur football of the province by the Diputación de Alicante. A subsidy that, according to the aforementioned entities, helps them, among other expenses, “to cover the expensive displacements throughout the territory of the Valencian Community, athletes of the athletes, sports material and other expenses that the sports activity of amateur football entails and that without the support of the Diputación de Alicante makes our activity virtually unsustainable.”
The lack of resources is one of the big problems that Spanish amateur football entities face each season, which find in public aid a push to move forward. Subsidies that in the case of the province of Alicante seem to be in the air now. As explained in their note, the withdrawal of this aid by the Diputación de Alicante, chaired by Antonio Pérez Pérez (mayor of Benidorm), affects not only the teams of third federation, but also those who militate in the Lliga Community, as well as the first FFCV and the second FFCV.
The signatory clubs remember that, last season, amateur football has already suffered cuts in the pacfutsal aid of the Diputación. “This season has chosen the total suppression of the aid without information to the clubs or meeting to find other ways of collaboration and help for the promotion of amateur football,” lament the Spanish young, the crevillent and the Ibense ray, which announce “joint peaceful actions of joint Modesto football protest», While requesting a joint meeting of the clubs affected with Diputación de Alicante and their Deputy of Sports and Mayor of La Nucía (Bernabé Cano).
“We ask the government team of each Alicante municipality (regardless of its political sign), public opinion and Valencian Football Federation that help us achieve the rectification of what we consider a very harmful decision for amateur football and that goes against the spirit of the Provincial Council of Alicante and its promotion of sport beyond the great events in concrete municipalities,” the signatory clubs conclude.
The Municipal Socialist Group of San Vicente del Raspeig has already registered a motion in which it asks the Diputación to recover suppressed subsidies for football and football teams in the province of Alicante. The PSOE recalls that last season the clubs suffered the cuts in the economic amount of the call of 50,000 euros, but that this year the Diputación has fully suppressed it. The three entities of this affected town are: Spanish from San Vicente, which in 2024 received 7,998 euros, CFS Futsal San Vicente, which received 998euros and the Inprosports Sports Club (998 euros).
