The Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio remains the maximum expression of the sportiness and racing DNA of the Biscione, embodied in a car that since its launch has been capable of piquing the interest and passion of those in search of the most extreme performance. After the preview road and track test in Balocco of the high-performance sedan from the Arese car manufacturer, here are 5 things to know about the new Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio.
1. The 100th Anniversary version
On the occasion of the launch of the new version, Alfa Romeo also presented a celebratory variant for the anniversary of the Green Quadrifoglio and Ugo Sivocci’s success at the 1923 Targa Florio with that historic symbol on the livery. Only 100 examples for Giulia and Stelvio, all already sold out with the celebratory logo clearly visible just above the front wheel arch.
2. A new look for the Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio
As with the standard versions, the new Giulia Quadrifoglio also features stylistic innovations and, above all, the new stylistic features of the Biscione range. Starting from the front where we find the new light clusters with a 3+3 layout already seen on the Tonale (and indeed on the new Giulia) with Full LED Matrix technology.
3. Lots of carbon fiber
To make this car even sportier and more performing, there is extensive use of lightweight and composite materials including carbon fibre, which we find for example in the front splitter, on the bonnet and on the side skirts but also on the rear spoiler.
4. An unmistakable sound for Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio
At the rear there are also the four exhaust terminals of the carbon Akrapovic system which makes the sedan with the Green Quadrifoglio even sportier. The sound of the V6 thus reaches even more clearly inside the passenger compartment.
5. Unique performance
The heart of the new sedan with the Quadrifoglio remains the powerful 2.9 V6 engine derived from Ferrari, increased in this case to 520 HP, an increase of 10 HP more than the previous version. An increase obtained by working on the pressure in the chamber and on the electronics. The torque remains unchanged, at 600 Nm with performances that speak of a sprint from 0 to 100 km/h which is consumed in 3.9 seconds and a maximum speed which reaches 307 km/h.
