“Is it over there [em referência à reforma tributária] will help Brazil to grow. It has an effect on productivity, simplifies, reduces costs, avoids the tax war”he said in an interview with the newspaper The globe🇧🇷
Alckmin also said that the new management will work to remove the Constitution’s spending ceiling and that “there is no chance of there being fiscal irresponsibility”🇧🇷
The coordinator of the transition team for the new government also stated that there will be cost cuts. “Spending efficiency is a never-ending work. We’re going to review all federal spending.”he added.
Although he mentioned these possibilities to balance the economy, the vice president-elect did not give any concrete details of which devices he considers the most defensible in an eventual tax reform. In the case of spending cuts, it was also not clear which federal government expenses could be suppressed from 2023 onwards.
