Albudeite adds new tourist attractions that will help the town grow in the number of visitors. Precisely, among the projects that will see the light shortly is the new Museum of Esparto Grass and Antiques, the first municipal museum in Albudeite. For the rehabilitation of the building, located in the old teachers’ house, on Avenida de la Paz, the City Council has received a grant of 45,000 euros from the General Directorate of Tourism Competitiveness.
The objective of the new center, which will incorporate donations of tools, tools, photographs and other elements contributed by the residents of the municipality, will be to preserve and publicize local crafts through the culture of esparto grass for which the town is renowned. .
The ‘5k’ project has arrived in Albudeite, developed by the Ministry of Economy, Finance and Digital Administration, through the Integra Foundation, and which involves the implementation of technology and innovations to improve people’s quality of life through sustainability in a pilot experience that seeks to show that the ‘smart city’ concept is not limited only to large urban centers.
Albudeite will also benefit from an investment of 64,000 euros from the Autonomous Community for projects for the management and digitization of water supply services with the aim of reducing losses in the networks, improving the control and quality of the water in the wastewater discharges and savings in consumption.
On the other hand, an investment of 43,500 euros has enabled the repair and improvement of the Levaura road, which serves as access to numerous agricultural and livestock farms and to homes for scattered populations. The platform of this road was affected in a length of approximately 80 meters by the intense and continuous rains registered in March of last year in the Region, causing the breakage of the natural slope of the road, which caused the mismatch of the section of the road. firm and the breaking of the pavement, preventing the passage of vehicles.
The works consisted of repairing the damage caused by the rains, including clearing the land; the construction of a breakwater wall formed by limestone blocks; the recess of the stretch of road affected by the break; spreading a layer of compacted artificial gravel across the entire width of the road; the application of concrete paving; geotextile placement; and the dismantling and replacement of the existing bionda.
This intervention is in addition to the one carried out by the Ministry on the Benito road for an amount of 21,500 euros, so that the actions in this area amount to 65,000 euros. Works have also been carried out for the replacement of hydraulic infrastructures on Calle del Castillo in the town, for 48,000 euros.
