Inside Alan Wake 2 there is one fictitious beer known as Ahma. It’s a small detail in the middle of the game, nothing too important we might think, but certainly not from the point of view of Remedy Entertainment, who decided to turn the beer into something real. Remedy Entertainment has in fact collaborated with the Finnish brewery Tornion Panimon to bring the imaginary beer to life.
There’s a problem though: Ahma beer is only available if you are in Finland (it’s about 3,000 kilometers away, if you want to take a little trip). All this was reported by some users on Twitter, as you can see below.
There description on the official site from the manufacturer in Finnish, according to an automatic translation, reads: “The town of Watery in Washington state, affectionately known as “America’s Little Finland,” was born in 1981 around Finnish immigrants, focusing on fishing and forestry. Preservation of Finnish heritage and culture has always been an important part of the lives of Finnish-Americans and this is especially evident in the heart of Watery, the famous Suomi-Talo building. From this passion was born Ahma.”
We remember that Watery is a fictional town in the Alan Wake narrative universe.
How to find Ahma Beer in Alan Wake 2?
If you played Alan Wake 2 quickly and only focused on the core components to get to the credits, you may have missed the many collectibles the game has to offer. One of these is the Koskela ads, a series of television commercials by the Koskela brothers advertising different products in the Alan Wake universe.
Players can collect and view a total of six different advertisements, ranging from adventure travel to coffee (Sam Lake loves coffee!). But one of the most famous advertisements in the game is that of Ahma beer by the Koskela brotherswith the slogan “Unleash your inner Wolverine.”
Who knows if this little publicity stunt will help Alan Wake 2 to be more successful, we know that sales have not yet recovered the production costs.
