Al-Darmaki, “Al Ain Club candidate”, was elected president of the Volleyball Federation, after winning 10 votes in the General Assembly meeting in Dubai, compared to 7 votes for his competitor, Dr. For special circumstances, Al Darmaki won the position of the 11th president in the history of the federation since its founding in 1973.
Ten names succeeded in the presidency of the Volleyball Federation over 5 decades, beginning with Batiq Abdul Rahman, the first president of the federation in 1973, Nasser Obaid “two sessions”, Sheikh Faisal bin Khalid Al Qasimi, Muhammad Ali Al-Osaimi, Ahmed Saif Belhasa, who is considered the owner of the longest march from 1983 to 1996 Sheikh Ahmed bin Saif Al Nahyan, Khalifa Al Shaali, Muhammad Abdul Karim Julfar (two sessions), Youssef Al Mulla (two sessions), all the way to Abdullah Al Darmaki, the 11th president.

The union of the elected board of directors will hold its first meeting next December, after the final approval of the board, which follows the end of the appeals period on the election results on November 29, and the issuance of the committee’s decisions on December 5, followed by the adoption and announcement of the final election results on December 9.
During the first meeting, the administrative positions are distributed to the members of the council, with the exception of the president, by vote or consensus. The council, which includes 11 elected members, consists of the positions of the president of the federation, the vice president, the general secretary, the financial manager, in addition to 7 members.
