And the German national team violated FIFA laws on Saturday, when coach Hansi Flick decided to attend the press conference that preceded the meeting between Germany and Spain, on his own, without the presence of a player from the national team.
FIFA laws stipulate that there be a player in addition to the coach in the press conference that precedes the World Cup matches, but none of the German national team players appeared during the conference.
Flick said, “I asked the national team players not to attend the press conference, and to focus on the necessary training session before the match.”
The German national team may be subject to a large fine, for ignoring FIFA laws.
It is noteworthy that the German national team tied with Spain, 1-1, in the Group E summit, on Sunday evening.
