The courts of the Abu Dhabi Judicial Department achieved high rates in the speed of adjudication of cases, as they issued about 7000 judgments during the month of August, at a rate of 346 judgments per day during official working days, or about 45 judgments per working hour, while the courts took two sessions on average to settle the dispute. Within 52 days from the date of filing the case to issuing the judgment.
The Undersecretary of the Abu Dhabi Judicial Department, Counselor Yousef Saeed Al-Abri, said that the high rates in the various judicial and justice indicators in the Judicial Department reflect the volume of work done to provide world-class services, in implementation of the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of the Presidential Court and President The Abu Dhabi Judicial Department, to provide an advanced and supportive judicial system for the Abu Dhabi economy, by achieving prompt justice and providing remote litigation services.
Al-Abri pointed out that the department has adopted advanced technical systems to follow up cases in all courts, based on modern technology and the uses of artificial intelligence, and its role in providing accurate statistics and clear indicators of judicial processes from filing a case until adjudication, in line with strategic priorities aimed at ensuring sustainability and continuity. The monthly electronic report for analyzing judicial rulings issued by the civil courts in Abu Dhabi showed that 8,330 electronic litigation sessions were held remotely via video call, during last August, at a rate of 416 sessions per day and 52 sessions per working hour, while 4,923 preliminary rulings, 1,077 judicial orders, were issued. 822 appeal judgments, and 140 cassation judgments.
While the judgments issued by the Judicial Department courts, from the beginning of January until the end of August, amounted to about 44,000 judgments, an average of 36,000 primary judgments, 6000 appeals, and 1,700 cassations, in non-penal matters.
