The Jumbo team was the absolute protagonist of the first stage of the
Paris-Nice, this Sunday, in Mantes-la-Ville, where Frenchman Christophe Laporte was the winner of the day, just ahead of two teammates from that formation.
Absolute dominance of the Jumbo
Laporte beat the Slovenian Primoz Roglic and the Belgian Wout Van Aert at the finish line, who did not dispute the victory.
The French rider, signed before the current season, thus dressed in the first yellow ‘jersey’ for the overall leader in this French round, made up of eight stages.
The Jumbo imposed its law on the last climb (1.2 km at 6%), six kilometers from the end of the 159.8 kilometer route. Czech Zdenek Stybar was the only one to maintain contact, before falling off the hook a little later.
