Abortion, Lilli Gruber: “Women must have the last say”
On abortion, the last words “women must have”: this is the broadside launched by Lilli Gruber during Otto e Mezzo, the in-depth program broadcast on La7, last night, Friday 19 April.
The journalist, in fact, after asking her guests for an opinion following the controversy on the amendment for the introduction of pro-life associations in clinics, stated: “The last word on such difficult and delicate issues as abortion is women must have. Women must have this right. In civilized countries it is like this: in France the right to abortion was inserted into the Constitution a few weeks ago and the European Parliament voted by majority to also include it in the Charter of European Rights”.
“So – concluded the journalist – it is not clear what need there was now to present an amendment, in the specific case of Fratelli d'Italia, which effectively opens the doors to anti-abortion associations in public clinics”.
Lilli Gruber's words also appeared as a broadside against Bruno Vespa who, during Door to doorhad dealt with the topic of abortion by talking about it with six guests, all men.
