Ana Belén Valero, who left Ciudadanos after the motion of censure but continued as a non-attached councilor in San Pedro del Pinatar, will be appointed on Thursday by the Governing Council
The Governing Council of the Region of Murcia plans to approve this Thursday the appointment of Ana Belén Valero as the new general secretary of the Ministry of Business, Employment, Universities and Spokesperson, whose owner is Valle Miguélez.
Ana Belén Valero has been a non-attached councilor in the San Pedro del Pinatar City Council since March 2021, when she left the party with which she had run in the municipal elections, Ciudadanos, in disagreement with the motion of censure. In addition, she worked as a trusted person in the Cabinet of the Presidency of the Regional Assembly, in charge of Alberto Castillo.
The future general secretary has a law degree from the University of Murcia and is a lawyer from the Illustrious Bar Association of Murcia. She has a Master’s Degree in Law and Legal Practice from the Universidad Católica San Antonio de Murcia. She has worked in law firms and corporate legal departments, in addition to her own professional practice. From 2012 to June 2019, she was a legal advisor for Social Services of the San Pedro del Pinatar City Council.
Valero will replace Ana Luisa Ruiz López, who left the General Secretariat of the Ministry in June for medical reasons. As she will have to give up her act as councilor in the San Pedro de Pinatar City Council, Ciudadanos will recover a councilor in this municipality.
