A book-guide to Mytishchi has come out of print, this is stated on December 20 in a message on website city administration.
The author of the book was the head of the Commission for the Preservation of Folk Values, the Development of Tourism and Culture of the Public Chamber of Mytishchi, Sergey Egorov.
“10 routes in Mytishchi. Tourist guide for the region and surroundings” is aimed at both cyclists and motorists and hikers.
“The book summarizes both the author’s local history experience, the results of his research work on the history of his native land, and his experience as a cyclist and guide. The guidebook offers routes to various interesting corners of the Mytishchi region.
The description of the routes is accompanied by a map with marked stopping points with coordinates for the GPS navigator.
The guide was published under the program of initiative budgeting, several thousand Mytishchi residents voted for the publication. The circulation will be distributed in libraries and schools of the district.
The presentation of the book will take place on February 3, a local history quiz will be held at the event and copies of the guidebook will be raffled off.
The day before, on December 19, a multimedia interactive exhibition “Time of Culture” opened in Moscow. Guests are invited on an educational journey to Russia of the 19th century through the prism of cultural events.
The project is being implemented by the ANO “Agency for the Development of Domestic Tourism” with the support of the Russian Cultural Foundation.
