Israeli Army Radio said in a statement that “no drone or cruise missile penetrated Israeli airspace.”
The radio added, “Some (Iranian) ballistic missiles caused minor damage to the infrastructure.”
The Israeli army confirmed, before the end of the Iranian attack, that “the majority of the missiles launched from Iran were intercepted outside Israel’s borders, and we continue to repel their threats.”
Biden: Victory for Israel
CNN quoted an American official as saying that US President Joe Biden told Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, during their phone call, that “Israel should consider tonight a victory” because the current American assessment is that “the Iranian attacks were not successful until now.” “To a great extent, it demonstrated Israel's superior military capabilities.”
CNN also quoted American officials as saying that “the Iranian attack on Israel lasted about 5 hours,” while Israeli media reported that the cost of intercepting Iranian attacks was close to one billion dollars.
“At my direction, and in order to support Israel’s defense, the US military transferred ballistic missile defense aircraft and destroyers to the region over the past week,” Biden said. “Thanks to these deployments and the exceptional skill of our soldiers, we helped Israel shoot down all of the drones.” And the missiles are coming almost.”
