The detainee had expressed his intention to carry out a “violent action” in Catalonia before leaving for Syria
The Mossos d’Esquadra have arrested a 32-year-old man in Móra d’Ebre (Tarragona) who allegedly wanted to travel to Syria to join a jihadist organization, accused of alleged jihadist radicalization.
The Investigating Court of Gandesa (Tarragona) has ordered the entry of the detainee in the Foreigners Internment Center, reports a statement from the Mossos d’Esquadra this Saturday.
The detainee had expressed his intention to carry out a “violent action” in Catalonia before leaving for Syria.
The investigation began in August 2022, when the investigated began to change his attitude, “became more aggressive”, made demonstrations in favor of jihadist terrorist organizations and consumed videos with DAESH content, generally related to martyrdom.
