Helsingin Sanomat asked the parents what feelings the children’s vaccinations had aroused and whether the parents had disagreements about the vaccinations.
Parents have experienced rage, fear, and frustration if the child’s other parent has a completely different stance on the child’s coronary vaccination.
Among other things, this was stated when Helsingin Sanomat asked readers whether the vaccinations had caused disagreements in the family. In three days, the survey received 135 responses.
Majority respondents said there were no disagreements. In most families, it has been obvious to both parents that the child or children will be vaccinated. Or both parents agree that the child should not be vaccinated.
One parent said she was grateful for school health care and was pleased to receive as tangible value for tax money as vaccinating children.
“It was clear to both of us that children would be vaccinated as soon as possible. Vaccination of children was a relief.“
For the survey among respondents, vaccinations had caused difficult situations, especially in divorced families. The other parent might feel that the controversy over vaccinating the child was a way to bully.
“The other guardian of the children (joint custody) does not consider vaccinations necessary and suspects them. A younger child under the age of 12 would like the vaccine, but the other refuses to sign the consent. ”
“It seems that the ex-wife is also using this to prolong the divorce and bully my new family.“
“Our child is already 13 years old, but is not afraid to take the vaccine because his mother has said he will be angry if this happens. ”
Readers respondedthat there has also been disagreement with close family members such as grandparents or other relatives about vaccinating children.
“My daughter didn’t want to vaccinate her 14-year-old daughter. I was horrified because I absolutely wanted my grandchild to be vaccinated. I told my son-in-law that if the girl is not vaccinated, I will report to child welfare. The girl received her first vaccination. Now the situation is a bit bad when Grandma took the reins. But end well, all well. ”
Refusal to vaccinate has also made it difficult for some families to meet with relatives, and vaccination or refusal has become a more widely discussed topic in the family.
One reader does not want to vaccinate their children and says they get pressure and resentment from their relatives:
“The family cannot see relatives when the children are unvaccinated. There are little news messages about whether you have been vaccinated and whether your mind is cutting when you are not. ”
The siblings of the parents may also have different views, which has become a divergence.
“My sister is not going to vaccinate her own pre-school child, nor is she going to take the vaccine herself. She criticized me when I told her that my own child would be vaccinated because she wanted it herself. ”
Although parents would agree with vaccinations, vaccinating a child has caused confusion and anxiety in some parents.
“There is a fear that if I vaccinate children and the vaccination causes side effects in children, I myself have deliberately caused them.. ”
Parents were asked what feelings the children’s vaccinations had caused.
“Confused. One child has an appetite. Does not seem necessary for the children’s own health. All children under the age of ten. ”
“It’s really scary that the world is getting news about forced vaccinations. Hopefully Finland will never go for it.“
