The president of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskywill meet this Monday in Madrid with the head of the Spanish Government, Pedro Sanchezwith whom he is expected to sign a bilateral security agreement, and will hold a meeting with the king Philip VIwho will offer you lunch at the Royal Palace.

The Executive has limited itself to reporting that Sánchez will receive the Ukrainian president in Moncloa at 12:00 p.m. (10:00 GMT) and then both will appear at a press conference.

Shortly after this communication, the King’s House reported that Philip VI will receive Zelensky in it Royal Palace at 2:00 p.m. and 45 minutes (12:45 GMT) and then a lunch will be offered in his honor.
The forecast is that Sánchez and Zelensky sign in Moncloa the bilateral security agreement that both were going to sign on May 17 and to which the President of the Government referred in his appearance in Congress last Wednesday, when he assured that it would be signed when circumstances permitted.
An agreement by which Spain undertakes to continue providing military support to Ukraine in their war conflict.
Sánchez has been reiterating the support of Spain to Ukraine, as ratified by
Zelensky in the telephone conversation they had on May 7 and in which he guaranteed that support for as long as necessary.

The President of the Government reported that in that conversation they talked about the progress of the security agreement between Spain and Ukraine that will be signed this Monday in Madrid.
On the occasion of that talk, Sánchez announced that he will be present on June 15 and 16 in Lucerne (Switzerland) at the Peace Conference to be held on Ukraine, to which more than fifty heads of State or of Government and to which the possibility of the president of the United States, Joe Biden, attending is being considered, since just before that he will be in Italy at the G7 leaders’ summit.
Zelensky’s visit is the first of a bilateral nature, although he was in Granada last October for the summit of the European Political Community within the framework of the Spanish presidency of the EU.
