Successful start to the season for Geiger and Schmid in the Nordic Combined

Vinzenz Geiger and Julian Schmid ensured a successful start to the Nordic combined season. The two Oberstdorfers took second and third place in Kuusamo, Finland. After a jump and a 7.5 kilometer run, the duo only had to admit defeat to the dominator of the combination, Jarl Magnus Riiber from Norway. Riiber won the sprint by two and 3.8 seconds respectively ahead of the two Germans, having already won the jumping. Manuel Faißt in seventh, Johannes Rydzek in tenth and David Mach in eleventh completed the strong German performance.
