Felix Sturm still hasn’t had enough of professional boxing. The former world champion is planning his comeback to the ring on February 15th – at the age of 46. “I am ready to continue writing my story and am looking forward to being able to get back in the ring to be able to offer my fans another spectacle,” Sturm is quoted as saying in a press release.
The fight is scheduled to take place in the ratiopharm Arena in Neu-Ulm, the opponent has not yet been finally determined. “The negotiations for my opponent are in the final phase and we can announce him soon,” said Sturm: “I can already reveal this much: It will be a boxer from Germany.”
Sturm fought his 54th and last professional fight to date in the light heavyweight division in Ludwigsburg at the beginning of December 2023. In the rematch he defeated Sükrü Altay by technical knockout. The boxer with Bosnian-Herzegovinian roots then left the continuation of his career open.
