On Monday, Raúl Cimas once again made people talk in The Revolt with a crazy story that has unleashed a fun ‘war’ with Risto Mejide and his team of everything is a lie. Taking advantage of his visit to David Broncano’s program, the actor recalled his old statements about The Anthill, but this time involving Mejide and his collaborators of Cuatro’s afternoon slot.
“It was a lie, I said all of that because I was receiving pressure. Very strong pressure from Risto Mejide. I was taking a shower one day, I’m singing and stuff and I hear from inside the bathroom telling me: ‘Have they ever told you that you sing like an ass?’ ‘And I looked out and there was Risto Mejide,” Cimas joked.
This Tuesday, Mejide has not remained silent and The broadcast started with a monologue that parodied the solemn tone of Pablo Motos when defending himself against accusations from the TVE format, which accused him of sabotaging his interview with Jorge Martín. Thus, the presenter, Marta Flich, Virginia Riezu and Luis Fabra, have appeared dressed in bathrobes, in a clear reference to the sketch reported by the interpreter.
“Before starting, we would like to make a clarification. It is true that journalists, presenters and collaborators should never be the center of the news, but have made certain accusations, insults and slander against me and some of our collaborators on a primetime program,” Risto commented.
Mejide continued his speech, explaining, with a good dose of satire, the extravagant accusations launched by Cimaswhich ranged from break-in and coercion to alleged physical assault: “We have been accused of break-in, crime against privacy, coercion, threats, insults, slander with serious damage to psychological health and even physical assault. This program is not going to sit idly by.
Later, the program connected with magistrate Joaquim Bosch to analyze, also in a humorous way, the possible legal consequences of this plot. Bosch, without missing the opportunity to join in the joke, has made a clear recommendation. “On a criminal level it looks very bad, if I were you I would go looking for a lawyer now,” he said. “We are a bit criminal,” Flich concluded.
