A 17-year-old boy has been arrested as the alleged perpetrator of the murder of a 15-year-old girl this Sunday night on the coast of Orihuela (Alicante).
As reported this Monday by the Civil Guard, the arrested person is, apparently, the ex-partner of the deceased victim, a young woman who was taken in serious condition to the Torrevieja hospital and who died shortly after.
It was the victim’s brother who, around 8:40 p.m., found the minor with a cut on her neck.
Apparently, the girl had broken off the relationship with the alleged murderer a few days ago. There were no complaints of mistreatment, as sources close to the investigation have informed EFE.

The Orihuela City Council held a minute of silence this Monday morning in memory of the minor. “We are full of indignation, sad and devastated by this murder that is happening in our municipality,” said the mayor of the town, Pepe Vegara, who participated in the event along with the councilors of the municipal corporation, workers from the Orihuela City Council. and residents of the municipality, as reported by the council in a statement.
Vegara has indicated that they are still waiting for the Government Delegation to provide more information about what happened, but added that “only the fact that a minor meets her death violently is enough to condemn this event.”
The mayor has stated that “there are no words to express the feeling that floods this municipal corporation and the people of Orihuela” and has expressed his condolences and support to the family of the minor, on behalf of the municipal corporation and the entire municipality. .
The Orihuela City Council is going to decree a day of official mourning, while its flags will fly at half-mast in memory of the victim.
