Six-time Olympic champion Emma McKeon ended her swimming career at the age of 30. The Australian announced this on Monday via Instagram. “I am proud that I gave everything in my career – physically and mentally. I wanted to see what I was capable of – and I did,” wrote McKeon, who won a total of 14 Olympic medals, including three in Paris 2024. Only the two gymnasts Nikolai Andrianow and Larissa Latynina (both for the then Soviet Union/15th and 15th respectively) .18) and Michael Phelps (USA/28) have won more Olympic medals than McKeon at the Summer Games.
