Shipyard prepares to host the next December 1 the III Duathlon Cross of Cantabria, which in turn will mark the beginning of the I Astur-Cántabro Trophy of this sporting modality.
This is a new event, organized jointly, that brings together two autonomous communities -Cantabria and Asturias- in a competition that seeks to be a reference in the regional sports calendar, as stated by the City Council in a press release.
ROUTE
The III Duathlon Cross of Cantabria will have a route that will combine running and mountain biking sectionsand which will travel through the natural landscapes of the municipality, including the Solía estuary and the surroundings of La Cantábrica park. The competition will begin at 10:00 am, with start and finish in the urban center of Astillero.
The Councilor for Sports, Alejandro Hoz, has highlighted the “pride” that the municipality is the starting point of this competition. “Astillero demonstrates once again its key role with regional sports, being where we inaugurate a high-level event“. In addition, he added that “this trophy is an excellent opportunity for athletes to demonstrate their talent and camaraderie.”
The City Council invites its neighbors and visitors to support this competition that will make the municipality the “epicenter” of the Duathlon Cross and a “symbol” of union between two communities “passionate about sport.”
