To achieve both, the infrastructure will be complete and innovative. The club has already installed two equipped data centers located inside the stadium and another at the Palau Blaugrana with service switches installed. In addition, Barcelona will soon launch, together with the connectivity company New Era Visionary Group (NEVG) and the telecommunications operator Orange, Barça Mobile, its own brand that will offer mobile phone and data services, as well as fiber optics. The agreement is for the next five years, from January 1, 2025 to June 2030. Orange is also the company chosen by Real Madrid to install its 5G in the Santiago Bernabéu stadium.
When will it be available?
Barça will seek to have this system operational when the Spotify Camp Nou opens with 63% of its capacity. In principle, it should be in mid-February if the entity obtains the five permits that must be provided by Barcelona City Council, the firefighters, LaLiga, UEFA and the Federation.
The remodeling of the stadium includes a boulevard of shops and restaurant establishments that will allow this technological experience to be extended. The club expects that the new stadium, which will be a reality in the summer of 2026, will provide a minimum income of 247 million euros annually.
