The general director of the Valencian public radio and television station À Punt, Alfred Costa, leaves the entity ten days after the president of the Generalitat Valenciana, Carlos Mazón, reported that he was offering his position to another journalist. The communicator has reported his “irrevocable resignation” from his job “for personal reasons.”

Costa communicates his decision ten days after the Presidency confirmed that Carlos Mazón had lunch on DANA day with journalist Maribel Vilaplana to offer her to be the director of the entity. The president was sounding out the journalist to apply for Costa’s position in the public company that will replace the current À Punt, a position that must be proposed by the Board of Directors, which has not yet been created or voted on in the Corts Valencianes. Sources from around Vilaplana have explained to elDiario.es that the president of the Generalitat offered her the direction of À Punt and that the journalist rejected the offer.
Mazón’s cabinet described the meeting as a “private working lunch” with the journalist, “a professional of recognized prestige and extensive experience in the audiovisual and communication sector.” He interviewed this person to discuss the possibility of directing and joining the new regional television project, À Punt.
