The actor who played Thanos in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and Gurney Halleck in the latest adaptation of Dunehas detailed that he gave up alcohol forever a little over a decade ago, in 2013, when, After a drunken night, he went to visit his dying grandmother, 99 years old, on his deathbed.
Brolin explains that, realizing how little life he had left if he continued at his drinking rate, he decided he had to live life differently moving forward. ““I knew that was the last time I had drunk,” has remembered.
