Agents of the National Policein collaboration with the British NCAhave dismantled an international criminal organization in Marbella and Elche whom they have surprised with 1,200 kilos of hashish hidden in drums of sand for the works, which they transported in heavy trucks.
In the operation, they arrested seven British citizens, members of the organization, which hid the narcotic inside these large-capacity plastic containers filled with the fine mortar material used in construction.
Searches have been carried out on a farm in Elche, which the organization used as “daycare“-where the narcotic substance was located- and in three homes in Marbella and Fuengirola, where “samples” of hashish with the same anagrams as the drugs found in the ship were seized.
The investigation began last April when the agents learned that this group of citizens of British origin was operating, dedicated to large-scale international trafficking of narcotic substances, for which they used heavy trucks. In the month of May, investigators located one of the vehicles used and verified that it was registered in the name of the company of those arrested.
After this discovery, the agents located the Elche property where they simulated a legal activity, since inside there was a large amount of material of civil works. In this place it was possible to verify that there was a continuous transfer in and out of this merchandise stacked on pallets, such as paving stones, drums, polyethylene tubes or sandbags.
The researchers showed a intense activity of the members of the organization inside the ship and detected that they could be planning the introduction of a large consignment of narcotic substance into Spain. For this reason, an operation was initiated to search the ship in which the agents located 1,200 kilos of hashish and arrested four members of the organization. They found part of the drugs arranged in bales burlap and smaller packages.
The rest of the narcotic substance was hidden inside large-capacity plastic drums, stacked on pallets, which those investigated filled with fine sand from construction mortar to transport it inside the trucks. In addition to the drug, two frequency inhibitors were involved in the registry.
In parallel with the practice of registering the ship in the province of Alicante, the arrests of three other people under investigation were carried out in the towns of Marbella and Fuengirola (Málaga). In these locations, three records homes in which various amounts of hashish arranged in tablets, known as “samples”, were seized, some of them with the same anagrams as those found on the Elche estate.
In addition, more than 63,000 euros in cash, five passenger vehicles and a heavy truck, electronic devices such as a frequency detector, a beacon, two computers, mobile phones, a GPS navigator and four walkie talkie type transmission equipment. In addition to the seized cash, bank accounts worth more than 40,000 euros have been blocked. All detainees have entered provisional prison.
