delightthe hamburger chain owned by Alberto Grasde (former participant in the eighth edition of Masterchef), Rai Recoder and Gerard Moreno, opens its first restaurant-club in the old Astoria Cinema from Barcelona.
With this new space, Deleito consolidates its presence in Catalonia and reaches five establishments. The renovated Astoria opens in collaboration with East Coastwho will operate the post-dinner time.
This cinema was promoted in 1934 by the film entrepreneur Modesto Castañé Lloret. Astoria was one of the most emblematic venues in Barcelona until its closure in June 1999.
In this way, both groups will offer a unique experience that will merge products gourmet with nights of music, dancing and fun. The proposal will be operational on Wednesday and Thursday nights from 8:00 p.m. to 2:30 a.m. and Friday and Saturday from 8:00 p.m. to 3:00 a.m.
“The opening at the Astoria cinema is a key advance in our expansion strategy. This new establishment reinforces our presence in Catalonia and marks the beginning of a process of sustained growth, with the expectation of opening three stores before the end of the year,” explained Moreno.
Target: 18 restaurants
Deleito began its career in 2021 with a pop-up at La Santa Market, the busiest summer market in Spain. A year later, the company managed to open its first restaurant in Barcelona.
Since then, the company has experienced exponential growth thanks to the opening of three new locations (Llafranc, Hospitalet and Sant Cugat) and participation in large events such as the Offweek Festival and Canet Rock.
The chain aims to achieve the 18 points of sale at the end of 2026. The first step will be to open three establishments in Catalonia before the end of the year, to begin its expansion in the rest of Spain in 2025. Regarding its turnover, it plans to double last year’s results.
