Atlético took the three points from Son Moix against Mallorca thanks to a counterattack by Gio Simeone and a shot by Julián Álvarez in a tremendously tight match in which there were hardly any scoring opportunities. This is the third consecutive victory for the colchoneros.
Simeone made four changes from the team that won in Paris on Wednesday in the Champions League. Giménez, Reinildo, Koke and Riquelme entered the eleven and Galán himself, Witsel, Gallagher and De Paul fell out. Sorloth continued as a substitute and Correa, despite his goal against PSG, was also on the bench from the start because the lead was formed by Julián Álvarez and Griezmann
The Mallorca
Very organized and defensive
Mallorca once again showed that they are strong defensively in their stadium. Arrasate’s team never loses order at the back and cares little about taking the initiative. Atlético took it through Pablo Barrios but did not find the formula to hurt such a dense defense. The only more or less clear chance of the first half came in the 41st minute, in a measured cross from Darder and a header from Larin to which Oblak responded with a good intervention.
The second half began without a change of players and the game continued along the same lines. In the 60th minute, Atlético took the lead with a long ball thrown by Oblak, Gio beat Maffeo with speed and put the goal on a plate for Julián Álvarez.
The goal
A long ball from Oblak and a run from Gio
Simeone made four changes (Lenglet, Griezmann, Giuliano and Álvarez left and Sorloth, Correa, Witsel and De Paul came in) and then Riquelme ruled due to a great save by Greif. Abdón Prats had the equalizer in the 84th minute due to an error by Witsel but Oblak became huge and blocked his shot. Then another good defensive action by Reinildo would also prevent the Mallorcan goal.
At the Villamarín, a header from Marc Bartra in the last minute of added time rescued a tie for Betis against Celta in a match that had been very difficult for the green and white team because the Galicians took the lead twice.

In the thirteenth minute, winger Javi Rodríguez scored 0-1 with a great volley, his first goal in the League. The play was brought about by a hand from Sabaly. Hugo Sotelo took the free kick, Diego Llorente cleared it and Javi Rodriguez hooked the volley. The goal was reviewed by the VAR, which validated it because it was understood that Starfeld, who was offside, was not involved in the action. Betis achieved the tie in the 40th minute thanks to Vitor Roque following a pass from Abde.
The scoreboard would move two more times in the final minutes of the game. Douvikas would score 1-2 in the 82nd minute after a play by Williot, who had just come on for Iago Aspas. It seemed that the duel was doomed, but Betis did not give up. When the match was dying, an action by Chimy Ávila on the right, in which Celta asked for a hand in control, ended with a cross from the Argentine that Lo Celso extended with a header for Bartra to head in the final 2-2.
