The nurse begins by focusing on caffeine, which he explains is a psychoactive substance from the xanthine family, which stimulates the central nervous system. In addition, it warns that high consumption can cause anxiety, tremors, tachycardia and insomnia. So, what amount is recommended?
Well, @enfermerojorgeangel explains that a cup of coffee contains approximately between 80 and 100 mg of caffeine, and that the maximum recommended amount is about 300 mg daily in an adult: that is, about three cups of coffee at most. Exceeding this amount, the expert warns, could not be good for health, and could cause the aforementioned risks.
