The semiconductor giant Nvidia surpassed Apple this Tuesday as the most valuable company in the world, amid the artificial intelligence (AI) boom that moves Wall Street.

As has already been said, behind the news is the ‘boom’ of artificial intelligence, a phenomenon that the American company has managed to capitalize on. The world’s leading technology companies have invested billions of dollars in Nvidia’s powerful AI technology, central to training generative AI systems such as OpenAI’s ChatGPT, or Google’s Gemini.
And there is more, and that is that Nvidia will join the Dow Jones Industrial Average on Friday, in another example of the brilliant rise of a company whose stock market value has grown more than 850% since the end of 2022, when ChatGPT unleashed the AI boom.
