The supermarket company Mercadona is collaborating with those affected by the DANA through donations of essential products from its stores to town halls in ground zero and to reception centers in the city of Valencia, including the one set up in L’Alqueria del Basket.
The company reports in a statement that it is in constant contact with supportive entities such as Caritas and Food Banks of the province of Valencia to help with everything they need. Among the actions, the purchase of 200 pallets of water which have been collected directly at the facilities of the supplier Bronchales for the affected areas.
This Friday, Mercadona opened a store in Saragossaat the request of the Military Emergency Unit (EMU), so that they could supply themselves with everything they needed.
