Choose where to book seats on a plane It can be a difficult experience for many people who travel on vacation. Not only are passengers often torn between choosing a window or aisle seat, they are also faced with the dilemma of whether or not to pay for the benefit of extra legroom.
A flight attendant has weighed in on the debate, revealing why she always chooses to reserve seats in the fifth row of the plane when not traveling for work. Rosie Awad who has worked for Virgin Australia for the last decade, explains which seats he always books (and which ones he avoids) when traveling on a Boeing 737-800.
“I would always choose row 5 in the window,” he says in statements collected by the Daily Mail. “There are great views, you can see the wing of the plane, you have extra legroom, no emergency exit responsibilitiesyou can put a bag under the seat in front of you, it’s close to disembarking and it’s one of the first rows to receive service on board… Do you see why I choose it?” he says.
Rosie Awad also revealed What is the worst seat for both passengers and crew?which can create uncomfortable situations for staff members.
“The worst seat (for the crew) is jump seat 1R (at the front of the plane). You are facing the cabinlooking at the passengers…they look at you…it can turn into an awkward staring contest,” he says.
“The worst seat for passengers is the last rowor any line next to a bathroom (I’m so sorry for those who get one in that line). I think it’s self-explanatory why I choose this one!”
