The judge of the National Court José Luis Calama has rejected the request of one of the partners of Álvaro Romillo, owner of the financial ‘chiringuito’ that Alvise Pérez promoted, to investigate the origin of the funds of the investors of the Madeira Invest Club. The influencer’s partner, known as ‘Cryptospain’, had requested the National Court to paralyze the Treasury investigation against the main company of the business group linked to the cryptocurrency platform and investigate the platform’s investors before granting them victim status.
The head of the Central Court of Instruction Number 4 details in a ruling, to which Vozpópuli has had access, that in the document presented by the businessman “neither the corresponding procedural representation is accredited nor is a lawyer conferred the functions of procedural representation”, because this condition corresponds “exclusively to the attorneys of the parties”. In this way, it rejects the request of the administrator of EluLegal España SL, who had asked the judge to identify the investors and complainants and their amount.
The investigating judge has already appointed a judicial administrator -as the main investigator had requested- to manage his business network while he is investigated for an alleged crime of fraud. Likewise, the magistrate has accepted the request of Zaballos Lawyers to include in the procedure, in this case in a separate secret agreed piece, more than 15 properties located in different parts of Spain and whose owners are companies or people related to the corporate network promoted by Álvise Pérez. Among these properties are two farms located in Illescas (Toledo), another in Collado de la Vera (Cáceres), Boadilla del Monte (Madrid), Alicante and El Espinar (Segovia).
The office that defends the interests of the Association of People Affected by Investments in Cryptocurrencies calculates that the value of the companies linked to the business ‘chiringuito’ that financed the leader of Se Acabó la Fiesta with 100,000 just before the European elections amounts to more than 3 million euros. To this should be added a yacht valued at more than 23 million euroswhich the investigator himself boasted about on social networks before being reported.
Companies and assets abroad
However, the business network related to the Madeira Invest Club is not only located in Spain, but extends to countries such as Portugal, the United States, the Dominican Republic, Estonia and Albania. This was highlighted last time by Judge Calama in his order of October 4, where he glimpsed a complex instruction, with a criminal network of multiple instrumental companies and international connections.
In Spain, Romillo has linked his business activity with several businesses located in Malaga and Madrid related to leisure. Highlights include the Malaga restaurant Negro Carbón, the promoter Selvatic Fest and the Malaga drive-in, considered one of the largest in Europe. From the capital, the influencer from the ‘crypto’ world relates his businesses to the company Elulegal SL, dedicated to the management of restaurant establishments, and whose sole administrator had requested to investigate the origin of investors’ funds of the Madeira Invest Club; and Wanderstay SL, a company that leases hotels or hospitality establishments.
Complaint against Alvise
In parallel, the prosecutors of the Supreme Court are studying whether to investigate the leader of Se Acabó la Fiesta for alleged illegal financing, after his partner sent to the Prosecutor’s Office all the WhatsApp messages from which it appears that paid him 100,000 eurosjust before the European elections. For his part, the MEP acknowledged in a video broadcast through his Telegram channel that he had collected said money and in which he invited his followers not to pay taxes.
“Hello everyone, I am here to confess, I am guilty. I agreed, and it is true, to collect those private fees, I repeat, private, without invoice, so that I can have more savings in order to not get rich from my political activity, which is what that I publicly promised… I refuse to let the State continue taking half of mine and because everyone who depends economically on power becomes corrupt,” he commented in the video.
