Swedish coach Sven Goran Eriksson died this morning: he had been suffering from cancer for some time. He was 76 years old

There family of the coach and sports manager announced the death of Sven Goran Eriksson with a note: “After a long illness, he passed away this morning at home, surrounded by his family. With him his daughter Lina, his son Johan with his wife Amana and his granddaughter Sky, his father Sven, his partner Yanisette with his son Alcides, his brother Lars-Erik with his wife Junmong. Sven Goran Eriksson’s career

Also Ferdinand Bearsformer goalkeeper and goalkeeping coach of Lazio who won the Scudetto in 2000 when Sven-Goran Eriksson was coaching the Biancocelesti, said: “I’m sadnot only is an important man and a great coach gone, but a friend of mine. We laughed, won a lot and, fortunately for the victories, we cried very little on the pitch.. Mine is the memory of a sunny person, a simple person that made you feel at ease. He taught us a lot, also for how he faced the disease and he also made us reflect a little: a really nice person“.
