A 19-year-old boy from Casal di Principe on holiday in Albania tragically loses his life in a jet ski accident
A summer vacation turned into a tragedy for Nicholas Iorioa young man of only 19 years old originally from the province of Caserta. He lost his life in an accident at sea in the tourist resort of Velipojë, in Albania. The boy, on holiday with friends, died after a collision with a jet ski, on Saturday 17 August. Rescued promptly and urgently transferred to the hospital in Scutari, Nicola died shortly after arriving at the emergency room due to the serious injuries he suffered.
The news has deeply shocked the community of Casal di Principe, the young man’s hometown. The mayor Octavius Corvinus expressed his condolences in a touching post on Facebook.
This tragic event once again highlights the crucial importance of safety at sea, especially during the summer season, when the influx of tourists and the use of water vehicles such as jet skis and inflatable boats increase considerably.
