Juarez City.- Although the communications team of the president-elect, Claudia Sheinbaum, and executives of the Mexican Social Security Institute (IMSS), confirmed the postponement of the presidential visit, unofficial versions of the Social Security Institute itself and guests of the tour planned for this Friday assure that it will take place but in a private capacity.
Sheinbaum’s social media platform, through WhatsApp, which is managed by the president of Morena in Chihuahua, Brighite Granados, “announced” in the middle of the afternoon that “the visit of President Andrés Manuel López Obrador and Dr. Claudia Sheinbaum to Ciudad Juárez is postponed until further notice.”
This is a supervisory tour of the regional hospital number 2 at the Exhipódromo facilities scheduled for this Friday. After the statement from Sheinbaum’s team, sources from the Institute confirmed to El Diario that the visit had been postponed, but once the note was published they were quick to clarify that it is still in place, although it will be private.
Today there was a tour between IMSS executives and members of the citizen committee that monitors the work and they confirmed that there has been a lot of progress, but it still needs “months” to be completed.
