Plot

The film tells the story of Mr. Imbruttito (Germano Lanzoni), a Milanese manager of a multinational company, who leads a life with a frenetic pace, dedicated above all to money and women. This frenetic and at the same time, for him, fulfilling existence begins to crack, when the entrepreneur Brusini (Paolo Calabresi), who manages a real business empire, ruins Imbruttito’s most important deal with a senseless motivation. This is how for the first time in his life the manager fails in his mission to bring home a good deal and this defeat makes him fall into depression.

Brera (Alessandro Betti), an old friend of his, is there to awaken Imbruttito from his post-bankruptcy malaise and torpor, making him a proposal to start a new business: buy a chiringuito in Sardinia and completely change jobs. Although his son Nano (Leonardo Uslengo) and his wife Laura (Laura Locatelli) do not approve, Imbruttito decides to follow Brera’s advice and embark, in every sense, towards Sardinia with his faithful intern Giargiana (Valerio Airò).

Once on the island, Imbruttito and his factotum discover that, although the place is enchanting, the place is located in a very remote and rarely visited area. The only community near the chiringuito is Garroneddu, a small village inhabited for the most part by very traditionalist shepherds, who do not look favorably on novelties in their area. Will Mr. Imbruttito succeed in starting a new business in the remote area and overcome the hostility of the local Sardinians?
