MotoGP Silverstone, the FP1 chronicle
MotoGP restarts with Jorge Martin. After the summer break, the Spaniard won the first free practice sessions on the Silverstone circuit, leading the session with a time of 1:59.383 (average-average). In the final, with a time of Martinator Maverick is approaching Vinaleswhich however remains 90 thousandths behind with the medium-medium combination.
Aprilia in the spotlight thanks also to the third place of Aleix Espargaró (soft-medium): the Catalan, however, stopped 336 thousandths from Martin’s time. Signs of awakening from Jack Miller (who in the final ruins Fabio Quartararo’s lap, provoking the Frenchman’s anger) while Franco Morbidelli confirms his progress by entering the top-5. Bastianini, Di Giannantonio, Bagnaia, Quartararo and Marquez instead close among the top ten. For “Pecco” a morning of control ended with a delay of 465 thousandths and the soft-medium combination. The Spaniard, on the other hand, is the protagonist of a fall without consequences on turn-15 in the last time attack.
