It is assumed that the little girl went out onto the terrace and leaned over the railing. At that point, losing her balance, she tragically ended up on the roof of a restaurant located on the first floor. Despite the immediate intervention of the paramedics, every attempt to revive her it was no use, there was nothing more to do.
The Guardia Civil told Irish media that the incident is currently being treated as a “tragic fatality.” Meanwhile, numerous messages of condolence and sympathy have been expressed for the loss of the little girl, Clodagh.
The Parnell AC, the Athletics Club where the little girl played sports, dedicated a touching tribute to her: “We are deeply saddened. Clodagh was one of our young athletes. She was a beautiful and lively little girl, she excelled in many sports, not just athletics.”
The Rathdrum Rugby Club shared the grief of the loss, saying its members were “shocked by the news of the passing of our dear star”. The club also described Clodagh as “a rare talent with a bright future ahead of her”.
