On the occasion of the diffusion of the first images and the first official videos on the Fiat Grande Panda, the Italian brand focused on the external design and style of the new model without however providing particular technical data and above all previews of what the appearance of the passenger compartment. However, as usual, the web has anticipated the Turin brand, with some photos of the Grande Panda’s interiors which have already appeared online, spread in particular by the Instagram page au_tospotter.
First details of the cockpit
The passenger compartment of the new Fiat Grande Panda is modern but at the same time recalls some features of the interiors of past generations, as is the case with the style used for the exteriors. Starting from the large dashboard pocket, which recalls the iconic one designed by Giugiaro as well as the squared and beveled shapes on the sides. There are also some pop details, with bright colors for the finishes of the armrest and the vents of the ventilation system. There will be a display for the infotainment system while the steering wheel features the large Fiat logo in the center with a two-spoke design. There is also plenty of space between the two front seats due to the absence of the gear lever, with the driving mode selector in its place.
The new Fiat Grande Panda is shown in some details
The version of the Fiat Grande Panda photographed during the shooting which will probably be functional in the first commercials that we will see after 11 July, the date set for the official world premiere debut, is the electric one. It is possible that the powertrain will model that of the Citroen e-C3, with which it will share the Smart Car platform: there should therefore be an engine 83 kW (113 HP) combined with a 44 kW battery or a smaller battery size to guarantee a range close to 300 km and above all to arrive on the market first with the version under 20,000 euros. In the passenger compartment there are various distinctive details, such as the quilted seats where the lime-coloured phrase “Panda Made With Love in Fiat” appears on the backrest. A phrase that aims to emphasize how the new Fiat Grande Panda was designed in Turin even if in reality it will be built in Serbia.
