The Briton is fourth in the World Championship
Kawasaki will field the Bimota brand on the track in 2025, but this will be the only big news regarding the team that currently manages the Ninja ZX-10RR. Axel Bassani arrived this year by signing a two-year contract and his boxing partner will still be Alex Lowes in light of the renewal made official today on Friday in Misano.
Alex Lowes commented on this excellent news for the continuation of his career: “I believe this opportunity has come at the right time. Together with Bimota, Kawasaki is working hard on this new project. I showed that I am still capable of improving and that I am still fast and competitive at the top of World Superbike. I thank KMC, Bimota and Provec Racing for the trust shown in me. I’m having a lot of fun racing and we still have a lot to focus on in 2024. We had a good start to the season with a couple of wins in Australia, but now we focus on Misano. It’s a track that I really like, we did a test here recently and I went fast.”
“With Alex we are on an excellent path – added the team manager Guim Roda – we started together in times of Covid and in the two-year period 2021-2022 injuries prevented him from showing his potential. Now it’s time to take his performance and consistency to another level. Lately the limitations of the regulations have not allowed us to exploit the full potential of our ZX-10RR, but this season we have had the opportunity to improve some areas of the bike and this has certainly helped Alex. For next season we want to continue to have a solid structure and we have challenges to face with the BbKRT project, so we need all our best tools to do well. We are therefore very happy that Alex has decided to continue working with us despite other offers. Surely now we can move forward focused on finishing the 2024 season and starting to make history in 2025.”
