Among the initiatives, promoted by the Ministry of Business and Made in Italy and managed by Invitalia, include new state incentives included in the new car incentive plan operational since June, of which they are sold out those for electric cars. There are other targeted incentives for the purchase of less polluting vehicles reserved for license holders taxi and rental with driver (NCC) who can take advantage of the ECOBONUS for the purchase of vehicles category M1. Another novelty is theEcobonus-Retrofita contribution for the installation of an LPG or methane system on petrol cars.
Incentives for Taxi and NCC
Incentives for purchasing new cars range from a minimum of 1,500 to a maximum of 13,750 eurosbased on scrapping conditions and Personal ISEE. These amounts double for the owners of taxi and NCC licenses that replace the company car, as well as for the winners of the extraordinary competition for new taxi and NCC licenses. This increase in the contribution for the purchase of low emission vehicles (0-20, 21-60 and 61-135 g CO2/Km bands) is established by decree-law 10 August 2023, n. 104.
Contribution reservations can be made from June 17, 2024 via an updated platform, with the need to present specifications statements to ascertain the requirements. Sellers will need to confirm transactions within 270 days from the date the reservation was entered.
Contribution for LPG system
10 million euros have been allocated for the conversion of cars registered after January 1st 2006 to methane gas and LPG. June 19, 2024, instead, the installers of LPG and methane systems can register to take advantage of the so-called Ecobonus – Retrofit.
The incentive is allowed for the installation of systems on cars Euro 4 or laterand, with contributions from 400 euros for the installation of an LPG system and of 800 euros for a methane one. The bonus provides one direct discount at the time of installation: the reimbursement will be paid directly to the installer by the companies producing the systems, who in turn will be able to recover the advance amount via tax credit.
